Running on the Promenade des Anglais

 

The famous Promenade des Anglais is a favourite among runners. Jog along the Mediterranean Sea between Nice Airport and the port covering around 10km. Early birds can get a colourful boost from the fabulous sunrise. From the Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice, go down Avenue Jean Médecin, cross Place Masséna and go straight on until you reach the Promenade des Anglais.

If you fancy jogging on the Nice coastal path then head for Nice Port towards Coco Beach. The Nice coastal path is best for good runners given the many steps and branches. With stunning sea views and incredible scenery, in the morning you may see a traditional colourful Nice "pointu" boat heading out for a day of fishing.

This Nice running route has a variety of landscapes from the city and port to the beaches. Set off from your 3* city centre hotel towards Nice port and go past the iconic Place Garibaldi. Run along the sea from Quai des Deux Emmanuels and pass Le PlongeoirLa Réserve and its coves until you reach Coco Beach. End your run to Cap de Nice with a tricky ascent that's well worth the incredible endless sea views.

 

Mont-Boron Park run

 

Bring your good running shoes and warm up your calves before you start the climb. Mont-Boron is the perfect route for you to train for your first trail runs with its winding paths. Enjoy the amazing views of Villefranche-sur-Mer harbour on one side and Nice's rooftops on the other from the top of Mont-Boron. 

Sunrise and sunset are the perfect times to run on top of Mont-Boron for a sight for sore eyes.

Château Hill: a full cardio workout

 

For this run, head for Château Hill on Quai des États-Unis towards Nice Port. Go up the hill's staircase to reach Bellanda Tower then Château Park for a good cardio workout. End your run with incredible views of the Promenade des AnglaisVieux-Nice and port
