The art of perfumery was born during the 16th century in Grasse, a village located 40km from Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes. Nowadays, the region hosts a real competitiveness cluster related to perfume.
Fragonard is one of the most renowned perfumeries in the region. Created by Eugène Fuchs in 1926, the company Fragonard has been named after a painter from Grasse, Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806), to whom Mr Fuchs wanted to pay tribute. Since then, the perfumery has been careful to offer the best fragrances to its clients.

Today, in partnership with our 3-star hotel in the centre of Nice, the famous perfumery offers the curious to make their own fragrance in its two factories of Grasse and Eze-Village through olfactory workshops called “The Perfumer’s Apprentice”.
Discover the history of perfume, the raw materials used during the making of these products and the methods of extraction, before concocting your own fragrance thanks to the essences at your disposal. The workshop is animated by a “nose” of the perfumery Fragonard.

You will leave with your perfume (100 ml) in its pouch, an apron Fragonard, your diploma, a summary of the composition of your eau de toilette and above all, a new knowledge and beautiful memories in your head.
