A Legendary Carnival Since 1873
A major annual event, the Nice Carnival is the biggest celebration on the French Riviera. In 2026, the 153rd anniversary parade opens the festivities with a spectacular show of colors and music. The Queen, the giant "grosses têtes," floral floats, musical bands, and dancers will bring the parades to life at Place Masséna and Quai des États-Unis. The carnival also features highlights like the Carnival Village and a grand firework display on Saturday, February 28th. - Illuminated Carnival Parades (Night): Tuesdays Feb 17 & 24, Saturdays Feb 21 & 28 at 8:30 PM.
- "Aqui" Carnival Parade (Day): Sunday, Feb 22 at 2:30 PM.
- Lou Queernaval: Friday, Feb 27 at 8:00 PM.
- Closing Festivities & Incineration: Saturday, Feb 28 at 10:30 PM at Quai des États-Unis (Free entry).
- Grand Carnival Swim: Sunday, March 1st.
Free Entry for Spectators: Access to the pedestrian zones (standing areas) during Carnival Parades is free for those wearing a full costume from head to toe.
